Weight Plan
You want to lose weight right? Of course, that's why you are reading
this article ! So let's think about and plan your strategy for losing weight - your weight plan.
So many of us - me included - have become confused by reading too many articles on the latest lose weight plan
and many of the articles we are seeing at the current time are focusing on just the food intake and measuring the
right amount of carbs versus protein etc., Click

Whilst consuming the right amount of food is obviously key to your weight loss it is not the only aspect of
losing weight that we should be looking at.
If we look at the bigger picture our weight plan would include things such as our objective - like why do we
want to lose weight? and I don't just mean 'because I want to be thinner' - that's the obvious bit. Instead we
should think about the key reasons, that burning desire that will keep us on track during the difficult times. For
example "I want to be slim enough to be able to play with my kids/grandkids without being out of breath" or "I want
to be slim for my son's/daughter's wedding so I can choose a lovely outfit and they will be proud of me", or "I
want to walk into my son's/daughter's graduation ceremony without feeling self-conscious of my size". Write down
anything that's personal to you. You don't need to share it with anyone - it's your personal goal.
What about exercise?
Yes, exercise is undoubtedly good for you and you should try and include it in your weight plan. It doesn't have to
be vigorous like going to the gym or doing squats. If you have health reasons why you can't do the vigorous stuff
then try and fit in a couple of short walks every day. I have included it in my own weight plan recently and its
surprising how much more of your neighbourhood you get to see when you leave the car on the driveway and take a
walk.

How about hobbies?
These can be sporting hobbies that take you outside the house such as badminton, tennis, football etc., or
'armchair' hobbies such as knitting, sewing, jigsaws, crossword puzzles, reading etc., Having a hobby can really help
your weight plan as the moment you are tempted to weaken and reach for more food when you have already had
sufficient food intake in your day so far, you can reach for your hobby topic which will help take your mind off
the food.
Measure yourself!
Take a measurement of your key areas such as upper arms, thighs, waist, chest, hips. Write these all down and make
a note of the date. Then each week take a new measurement and write it alongside. You may be surprised to notice
that whilst the scales may indicate you have not lost much weight, the tape measure may show that you have lost
inches/cms from your original measurements.

Write it all down !
Buy a book/scrapbook. Make a script of your weight plan to include all the above. Keep notes like a diary as you go
along. Be sure to date things so you can see how far you've come whilst you've been following your weight plan. If
you had anxious moments when you desperately wanted that chocolate bar but switched your attention to something
else which resulted in successfully overcoming that moment of weakness - write it down so you can refer to it in
the future as an indication that you are the boss here - you can control those little weakness monsters who are
trying to make you fail in your goal !
Picture it !
It will help your goal if you have a focus to move towards. If you see a picture of a swimsuit or article of
clothing you would dearly love to wear one day when you are slimmer, cut it out and stick it in your book. That
tropical island holiday with aqua sea and palm trees where you would one day love to show of your new slim body?
Cut it out and stick it in. That smart sleek sports car which would really suit your new image? Cut it out and
stick it in.
So there we have it - create your weight plan that is personal to you and includes many other things beside the
food part - and look forward to your successful weight loss.
