You see, I think you need to re-think the quest for a low calorie diet because it is not going to be the Holy
Grail you hoped for. Just cutting calories might work for a while but I’ll bet the weight goes back on again. Ask
yourself, how many times have you heard people say that after losing weight trying low calorie diets they just put
the weight back on again – just about nearly everybody who has been on this kind of diet. Ok, you say, what do I
need to do to lose weight?
Well, you do need to eat less calories BUT it is how you go about this that counts.
You see, losing weight is really a lifestyle change, it’s a holistic thing. Low calorie diets in fact any ‘diet
program’ is going to be some kind of formulated process and if you don’t like formula too much sooner or later
you’ll come off the system. The weight goes back on and you blame the program, then sign up for another and go
round the cycle again.
Step back a moment and let’s look at this problem again.
You want to lose weight, yes. Forget phrases like low calorie diets, think lifestyle change. After all I guess
you have already thought about all the things you’ll do when you’ve lost weight. Why not start now. Start by
choosing healthy foods, slowly building these into your weekly meal program. Not a mad go for it, just introduce
healthier foods bit by bit – You are not on a diet, you are on a lifestyle change. Low Calorie Diets are a thing of the past. At the same time take
a look at your exercise levels. Again, slowly introduce new and exciting activities (if you have been inactive for
some time go see your Doctor first) once a day or week to start and build up. The key here is to start small, don’t
think about this big weight problem focus instead on small changes to your eating and exercise habits.

By taking this approach you will have begun your way to permanent weight loss.
